I searched high and low in all the family cookbooks for “the” deviled egg recipe.  And it was nowhere to be found.  I asked some other family members if they had a copy anywhere but to no avail. We were told that this recipe was one that was just handed down by word of mouth over the years.  Unfortunately, we weren’t paying close enough attention when it was made.  Sadly, it seems that this family recipe is a lost one.  We’ve collected a few deviled egg recipes that look worth trying.  Let us know what you think!

A Good Stand In

This recipe from The Country Cook is the closest one we found to the Monts family deviled eggs.  Give it a whirl and let us know what you think.

Spice It Up

Originally from Baltimore, MD I got to the South as quickly as I could! However, I didn’t leave my love for Old Bay® & crabs behind.  These Old Bay® Crab Deviled Eggs from McCormick make a great appetizer!

Feeling Fancy

This twist on Deviled Eggs from Garden & Gun will certainly take some patience, but we can barely contain our excitement over trying this recipe! Using the blue, green, pink, and speckled eggshells from The FARM will result in a beautiful spring display!
