Lexington Summer Camp Overnight

FARMcamp Overnight Adventure: The Ultimate Farm Experience—After Dark!

As the sun sets over The FARM, a whole new world of adventure begins! Our optional overnight experience is the perfect way for campers to extend the fun, experience the magic of the farm at night, and build confidence in a safe, structured setting. With just 12 spots available, this is a unique opportunity for campers to sleep under the stars, hear the sounds of nocturnal wildlife, and create unforgettable memories.

What to Expect

  • Camping, Light & Easy – Great for campers who have spent a night outdoors or have shown an interest in doing so. One night is just the right amount of time to ease into an outdoor experience without feeling overwhelmed.
  • A Safe & Supportive Environment – All campers will sleep in their own tents. Overnight staffing ratios will be based on registration with both male and female counselors to ensure comfort, and safety is our top priority. If extreme weather arises, campers will move indoors to the farmhouse for a cozy night’s sleep.
  • Parental Flexibility – If a camper has never spent the night away from home, one parent or adult (21+) may attend. To ensure a safe experience, adults must pass a criminal background check (approx. $35) before participation. One parent also has the option to attend dinner and campfire stories at no cost but head home for the night (limited to one parent). Pre-registration is required.

What’s Included?

  • Thursday Dinner & Friday Breakfast (provided for campers & attending guardians, if applicable)

Frequently Asked Questions

Can my child sign up for just the overnight?

No. The overnight experience is an extension of FARMcamp, designed to strengthen the relationships and confidence built throughout the week. Because of this, only campers enrolled in Session 1 may participate.

Are there exceptions to the age requirements for the overnight?

No, there are no exceptions to the age requirements for the overnight experience. Campers must be rising 6th or 7th graders to participate in Session 1 and the optional overnight.

This ensures that all campers are at a similar developmental stage, allowing them to fully engage in the activities, build friendships, and have the best possible experience. If your child does not meet this requirement, we encourage you to explore one of our other camp sessions designed for their age group.

What are the sleeping arrangements?

Each camper will sleep in their own individual tent. A designated overnight staff member will stay awake and supervise throughout the night to ensure the safety and well-being of all campers.

Where will campers be sleeping? Is it deep in the woods?

No, campers will not be camping deep in the woods. While FARMcamp offers an exciting outdoor experience, all overnight camping takes place in open, grassy areas on the farm—not in dense forest.

The FARM is conveniently located in the heart of Lexington, SC, making it easily accessible while still providing a peaceful, natural setting. Campers will sleep in a designated open field, where staff supervision is easy, and safety remains a top priority. The area is well-maintained, and campers will have access to nearby restroom facilities.

This setup allows children to experience the magic of sleeping outdoors under the stars while still feeling comfortable and secure in an open environment.

What if my child gets homesick?

We know that for some campers, this might be their first night away from home. Our staff is experienced in helping children adjust, and we make sure campers feel safe and supported. If extreme homesickness occurs, we will call parents to discuss next steps.

What happens if the weather is bad?

If conditions become unsafe (heavy rain, storms, or extreme temperatures), we will move campers inside the farmhouse for a safe and comfortable indoor overnight experience.

Can I stay overnight with my child?

If your child has never spent the night away from home, one parent or adult (21+) may attend. However, to ensure safety for all campers, adults must pass a criminal background check (approx. $35) before participation is approved.

Can I join for dinner and campfire but not stay overnight?

Yes! One parent per camper is welcome to attend Thursday’s dinner and campfire stories at no additional cost. However, pre-registration is required.

What should my child pack?

  • A tent & sleeping bag
  • Pillow
  • Flashlight or headlamp

  • Change of clothes for the morning

What Parents Say

My usually shy and reserved child came out of her shell this week at farm camp! I have never seen her so excited or engaged about a topic as intensely as Farm camp

ParentCamper Age 6 - 7

I love that food is included and they’re getting nourishment! Top notch staff and I loved that it had a curriculum component of learning, crafts and real life skills.

ParentCamper Age 8-9

It is the best place in the world! - per little camper

ParentCamper Age 6 -7

We loved that the meals were made from ingredients grown on the farm and that our child had to help prep. She’s independent but this was on a whole other level. I was shocked at how much she tried and enjoyed.
