Below are instructions for Hen’s Night Out Bourbon Cocktails
WHISKEY SOUR
Ingredients:
- 2 ounces bourbon whiskey
- 1 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 3/4 oz simple syrup
- 1 egg white from The FARM 1780 farm fresh egg
- Ice
- 1 maraschino cherry
Instructions:
- Place the bourbon, lemon juice, simple syrup, and egg white in a cocktail shaker. Do not add ice.
- Dry shake the cocktail – Seal the shaker and shake vigorously for 10 seconds.
- Add ice, seal again, and shake for another 10 seconds, which chills the cocktail.
- Fit a Hawthorne strainer over the top of the shaker and pour the cocktail through a fine-mesh strainer into a coupe glass. (This is considered a double-strain method & catches ice shards or pulp from the fresh-squeezed lemon juice.
- Garnish with a speared maraschino cherry.
FRENCH 95
Ingredients:
- 2 ounces bourbon whiskey
- 3/4 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1/2 oz simple syrup
- 2 ounces champagne
- orange twist
Instructions:
- Mix the bourbon, lemon juice, and simple syrup together with ice in a cocktail shaker. Strain into a champagne flute.
- Top with champagne and garnish with an orange peel spiral.
