Farm to Table Beer Dinner at The FARM 1780

Join us for the first in a new Farm to Table dinner series at The FARM 1780 – The Farmer’s Table.  The Farmer’s Table dinners are intimate, fully-plated meals with a menu made up of ingredients that are sourced directly from The FARM 1780 the week of the dinner.  At least 80% of the food items you will enjoy are grown right here where you’ll be dining.

Additionally, each course will be paired with alcoholic drinks.  In some cases, the dish was created specifically to complement the drink.

Our first dinner will be a beer dinner held on Friday, November 4th with Brian Nelson of Keg Cowboy.  The meal will consist of four plated courses and each course will be paired with a different beer. 

Beverages at 6 pm and Seating at 6:30 pm

Menu:

1st course: “Bacon & An Egg” 

Pork Belly, The FARM 1780 Pickled Egg, The FARM 1780 Root Vegetable Puree

2nd course: Roasted Squash Soup

The FARM 1780 butternut squash and dutch fork pumpkin, local honey, goat cheese

3rd course: Coq Au Vin

The FARM 1780 chickens, pearl onions, bacon lardons, mushrooms

Dessert: Chef hasn’t decided if you’re going to be eating or drinking your dessert.  We’ll let you know when he sobers up.

Each course is appropriately paired with a beer selection

Brian Nelson is the owner of Keg Cowboy on Lexington’s Main Street. He cooked for 17 years in Charleston restaurants including Rue De Jean and Fat Hen before moving his family to Lexington in 2010.  He opened his first restaurant, Park Circle Grill in North Charleston, at the age of 28.

Each table seats 8 people.  If you want to be seated together, please purchase all 8 tickets together.  Otherwise, seating is on a first-come, first-serve basis. Conversely, you may email us at events@thefarm1780.com if you would like us to combine your reservations to ensure seating together (based on availability). 

Please read before purchasing tickets:

  • Due to the nature of this event, we cannot accommodate any dietary restrictions or allergies.  The menu is subject to change at any time due to farming and crop operations and certain ingredients may be swapped at the last minute as a result.
  • This is a 21+ only event
  • Tickets are transferable, but not refundable. There are NO REFUNDS if the event is canceled or postponed for any reason.  You may transfer your tickets to a future event or to another person. 
  • No outside food or beverages are permitted
