Planting Day (a hands on learning day)

Hands on learning day at The FARM 1780 during April 15 2024 planting day

Join us for our first-ever PLANTING DAY!

This is a FREE EVENT but you must pre-register.  Once registration is full, we will move to a waitlist.

During our planting day, you will work directly in the field & greenhouse with our farmers to help plant spring/summer crops.  This is a hands-on-learning day (not lecture based). We will end the morning with a farm fresh lunch.  Attendees will also be able to take home any left over plant starts to create their own raised beds or potted gardens.

Who should attend?

Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied & full supervised by a parent/guardian

  • Homeschool families
  • Small classrooms
  • Anyone wanting to learn more about growing seasonal vegetables

Please bring:

  • Sunscreen
  • Hat
  • Refillable water bottle
  • Wear completely close toed-shoes (preferably waterproof)
  • Dress in layers (it will be cooler in the morning and warm up as the day goes on)

  • Black Coffee
  • Water
  • Gloves
  • All planting tools
  • Lunch

Lunch will be served family-style at 12:30 p.m.  It will be a light & fresh farm grown lunch complete with a seasonal strawberry lemonade.
