Kindergarten Farm Days
August 4 @ 8:30 am – August 6 @ 2:30 pm

A Bridge Between Summer Camp and Kindergarten
Whether your child is part of Lexington One’s staggered start—or you homeschool, attend a private school, or are enrolled in another district—Kindergarten Farm Days are open to all rising kindergarteners (ages 4–6) looking for a fun, educational way to kick off the school year.
Each day features hands-on activities, farm fun, and a unique theme designed to help your child learn, grow, and feel confident heading into the classroom. Register for one, two, or all three days based on your child’s interests!
Dig In & Grow Day
📅 Monday, August 4
🌱 Theme Focus: Soil, seeds, plants, and bugs!
🪱 From wiggly worms to planting your own activities, this day is perfect for curious kids who love to get their hands dirty. We’ll dig into soil science, explore plant life cycles, decorate and plant pots, and end the day with classic farm games and crafts.
🔍 Great for kids who love nature, gardening, and sensory play
Weather & Wonder Day
📅 Tuesday, August 5
🌧️ Theme Focus: Rain, seeds, and the power of weather.
☀️ Campers will explore what makes it rain, track a rain gauge, sort seeds, and create farm puppet shows. With a little science, a lot of creativity, and some indoor fun just in case of weather, this day is full of hands-on discovery.
🎨 Includes colorful salt art projects and farm-themed stories!
🔍 Great for kids who love science, art, and imaginative play
Farm Fun Favorites Day
📅 Wednesday, August 6
🐓 Theme Focus: Watermelon, chickens, butter making, and bouquets!
🍉 A little bit of everything—this is a true taste of life on the farm. Campers will make growing bracelets, learn all about watermelon, interact with chickens, and finish the day by churning butter and building their own flower bouquet to take home.
🔍 Perfect for kids who love variety, creativity, and hands-on experiences

COUNSELORS & STAFF
Kindergarten Farm Days will be supervised by our director and owner – McKenzie Flashnick. Additionally, there will be a Care Assistant who will act in an administrative position.
Children will be organized into groups of 15. Each group will be lead by a Counselor (this is someone with an educational and/or childcare background). There will also be additional staff members/guest teachers based on the topics being covered.
We’ve worked with retired and current teachers to craft activities and curricula that will engage children, while they learn through hands-on and engaging activities.
SAFETY
Owners, staff, and counselors are adult, child, and infant CPR and first-aid certified. Additionally, a full first-aid kit meeting OSHA safety guidelines is kept on-site. During registration, you will complete a full registration for your child including a medical and medicine dispensing questionnaire and form.
