Earth Day 2026: A Homeschool Day at The FARM 1780
Celebrate Earth Day on an 8th-generation working farm.
Spring on The FARM 1780 is a season of growth, new life, and real farm work — and there’s no better place to spend Earth Day than on a farm that’s been stewarding the land for more than two centuries.
Join us for a Spring Homeschool Day: Earth Day Edition, where students step into the rhythms of a true generational farm, learning by doing as they explore the plants, animals, soil, and systems that make farm life possible.
This is hands-on, boots-on-the-ground learning at its best — perfect for K–7th homeschoolers and preschoolers.
🌱 Earth Day Experiences & Farm Learning
🌿 Greenhouse Planting & Field Transplanting
Earth Day is all about caring for the planet — and students will do just that as they plant seeds in our greenhouse and help move young plants into the field. They’ll learn how farmers nurture crops, protect the soil, and steward the land from seed to harvest.
🐣 Spring Poultry Life Cycle & Animal Interaction
Spring is hatching season on the farm! Students will explore the life cycle of chickens, learn how eggs develop, and join us for a chicken interaction where they help feed and observe the birds up close.
🌍 Earth Science in Real Time
Soil, weather, pollinators, ecosystems, composting & more — Earth Day gives the perfect backdrop to study how each part of the environment works together to support food, farms, and families.
🎨 Spring Crafts & Farm Play
Age-appropriate crafts inspired by Earth Day and spring on the farm help reinforce the day’s lessons. Plus, ample time for outdoor play and exploration.
🌼 Farm Take-Home Item
Each student will leave with a spring-themed farm keepsake connected to their Earth Day learning.
