AG + ART Tour Weekend

June 5th – 6th: Ag + Art Tour Weekend
Saturday hours are 10am – 4pm.
Ag + Art Tour is a free event meant to connect the community with local farms and artists. This is a self-guided event where you can visit The FARM before it officially opens this fall. There will be several vendors on-site all day long with guided tours and educational seminars scheduled throughout the day.
Enjoy coffee and ice cream from SIPS, etc. Grab some goodies from The Blended Bakery. And enjoy delicious food & Hazelwood Brewing Company beer from Griffin Chophouse. The FARM’s rustic pallet bar will be set up and you can grab a Prosecco Pop on a hot summer day!
Stop by The FARMstand to purchase local eggs, learn more about our egg share memberships and fall produce that will be available when we open this fall.
Check out Easel Cathedral who will be live painting on-site.
Live pottery and watercolor demonstrations will be hosted by Peace Haven Pottery and Gifting with Watercolor along with barn quilts from Down Home Creatives.
You’ll be able to purchase art on-site as well.
Live Music by Maddie Rean starting at 12 pm
Nominated for Female Artist of the Year & Music Video of The Year “Last Call” for the Carolina Country Music Awards, Maddie Rean brings an infectious energy and smoky voice to The Magnolia Pavilion. You don’t want to miss this performance! It’s a first at The FARM. Check out her newest single, Whiskey and Women
Scheduled Events:
11 am – Nature Walk & Conservation Discussion
Join Brandon DuRant of American Forestry Management on a field trip in nature. Brandon will lead you through the 34-acre property that has been in the Monts family since the 1780s. He’ll discuss the native flora, fauna, and wildlife that is a part of the property and share the details surrounding the conservation plan for The FARM.
2:30 pm – Children’s Book Reading: Green Beans & Tangerines
Join local author, Tiffiny Mariano, in the muscadine vineyard for a reading of her children’s book Green Beans & Tangerines. Everyone knows that picky eaters can be perplexing. Nikki’s 8th birthday is fast approaching, and she has a big decision to make. Will she take the plunge to try something new or will her birthday just be the usual?
3 pm – Agricultural Implements – Then & Now
Join The FARM’s gentleman farmer, Brett Flashnick, to learn about the history, culture, and innovation in agriculture by comparing the equipment that has been used on The FARM since the 1800s with modern implements, tools, and machines. Brett will also discuss advances in methods used to plant and harvest.
