The menu for our first Farmer's Table dinner next

The menu for our first Farmer's Table dinner next Tuesday with Chef Brian Nelson has been released!

Appetizer: Antipasto Salad

Entreé: Braciole, Creamed Polenta, Fried Kale

Dessert: Zabaglione, Marsala, Berries, Aged Balsamic Vinegar

This 3-course fully-plated meal will be hosted inside of the farmhouse and includes ingredients that are sourced directly from The FARM 1780 & other local farmers the week of the dinner.

Like a Chef’s table, these meals are intimate and menu items are chosen by the chef and farmer based on what is in-season and within the theme of the dinner.

Our first dinner will be an Italian dinner held on Tuesday, January 14th with Chef Brian Nelson. Dinner will be served with your choice of red and white wine throughout the meal.

At our Old Fashion Christmas Camp, campers had the opportunity to enter our first ever Christmas Card Competition. Each camper had the creative freedom of creating a Christmas card that best represents Christmas and TheFarm! As a group we voted on our winners. 3rd place won a Farm goodie bag filled with produce, candy, and items only found of the farm. 2nd place got 20 bucks cash. And finally 1st place won TheFarms Christmas Card for 2025! Throughout any of our marketing for next holiday season be sure to lookout for our beautiful card made by an amazing camper.

Here’s a recap of Old Fashioned Christmas Camp 2024! 🎄 We ate popcorn and watched The Best Christmas Pageant Ever! After we finished up our morning snack we got started on our goose and golden egg hunt! Next we moved along to the big pavilion to start stringing popcorn and cranberries! After a few reindeer games we returned to the pavilion for a few more activities! Campers got to make cards, Christmas jars, learned how to start a fire and ate some smores! It was a great start to winter break and we are so glad we got to do this with your children! Merry Christmas Everyone! 🎅

And this holiday season, we decided to put energy into events that give you a break.

We all want our kids to experience the magic of Christmas. And I know it’s hard to feel that magic yourself when it seems your hair is on fire. So - let us help! We’re offering some unique and affordable ways to support you and spread holiday cheer this season! We look forward to seeing you & your kiddos on the farm. The tree lot is open weekdays 11am - 8pm. And on weekends, Saturdays 9am - 8pm and Sundays 10am - 7pm.

We are excited to host fresh mountain grown Frasier Fir Christmas Trees, wreaths, and garland directly from several small North Carolina farmers at The FARM 1780 for the holiday season. We know first hand how devastating 2024 has been for small farmers across the Carolinas. These are tough, hard working folks who will not readily ask for help, so we will ask on their behalf. Please come support their hard work this holiday season. The lot will be open daily. Search for The FARM 1780 on google for our seasonal hours.
