SUMMARY:2022 Pumpkin Shoot at The FARM 1780
DESCRIPTION:What in the heck is a pumpkin shoot? \nIt’s similar to a Turkey Shoot – a friendly shooting competition where the prize is typically food (a turkey\, bundle of meat\, etc…). For our pumpkin shoot\, the prizes will be gift certificates to The FARM 1780 that can be used to purchase food from our produce stand or attend ticketed events hosted by The FARM. Prizes are as follows: \n1st place $50 gift certificate to The FARM\, 2nd place $30 Gift Certificate to The FARM\, 3rd place $17 Gift Certificate to The FARM.  \n  \nWhy are y’all having a pumpkin shoot? \nGrowing up around The FARM\, Brett (aka Farmer Flash) always looked forward to using the family’s Halloween pumpkins for target practice. It’s always fun to have a different type of target. This year we have an extra 25 pumpkins that didn’t find their home for Halloween\, so we are turning them into 25 chances to see if you shoot like Buffalo Bill or Annie Oakley. It’s also a great way to get to know your neighbors and community. \nOk\, I’m interested. How does it work? \nYou start by purchasing a pumpkin from the list below.  Every purchase comes with an NRA B-8 scale target\, a time slot\, use of Farmer Flash’s Scoped Thompson Center 10/22 pattern .22 rifle with a locally made Innovative Arms suppressor\, and 15 shots. You will arrive at The FARMstand 5 minutes before your allotted time and Farmer Flash will take you up to his shooting range where he will give a safety briefing and instructions on how the rifle operates. After that\, you have the remainder of your allotted time to take 15 shots on the target from a distance of 50 ft (16.67 yds) either standing\, sitting\, kneeling\, or prone. Once finished your target will be scored. All ties will be decided by the number of shots in the “F” ring (F-Ring stands for FARM ring\, and replaces the traditional X-ring because\, of course\, we want to have a little fun with this!) If there is a tie at this stage the winner will be determined by the shooter who took the least amount of time to complete their target. \nEach ticket includes the ability for a maximum of TWO observers to accompany the participant.  Participants must be at least 8 years of age to shoot.  All participants under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a legal guardian over the age of 18. \nWhen is it? \nSunday\, November 20th from 11 am – 4 pm. \nWhere is it?\nThe FARM 1780 \n1127 Corley Mill Road \nLexington\, SC 29072

It was priced perfectly for a lovely evening with friends or a loved one.” \nSeats are limited for this evening experience. This is a 21+ only event.  Tickets are transferable\, but not refundable. There are no refunds if the event is canceled or postponed for any reason.  You may transfer your tickets to a future event or to another person.

SUMMARY:Valentine's Day Yoga
DESCRIPTION:Looking for something different and not so “lovey-dovey” to do on Valentine’s Day?  Join us for Yoga on The FARM! \nThis Monday evening yoga class with Caroline Whisennant is great for singles or couples. If you’re single\, you can focus on calming your body\, breathing\, and doing something important for yourself.  For couples\, it takes off the pressure of planning a romantic date or buying the perfect gift. \nEnjoy a glass of wine or a cold beer following class.  A charcuterie box from Abundant Graze is also included in your ticket.  Yoga will be held inside the newly renovated 1870s farmhouse.  You’ll be the first people to see its charming transformation. \nCaroline finds beauty in the yoga flow\, grounding in mindful movement and conscious breath. As a wife\, artist\, and mother\, she comes to her mat to be both centered and inspired.  Her intention is to share the same with you in every class.  Caroline came to yoga to find ease in pregnancy. It became a way to care for her mind and body as she grew her young family. In 2019\, Caroline began practicing and training under the lovely folks at Pink Lotus Yoga Center in Lexington.  She earned her 200-hour yoga teacher training (RYT200) in June 2020. \nClass is for all levels of yoga.  Bring your own mat and water bottle.  Wine or Beer is provided for those 21 & over.

SUMMARY:Pick Your Own Pumpkins
DESCRIPTION:PICK YOUR OWN PUMPKIN PATCH IS OPEN SUNDAY 10/24 from 1:00-4:00 PM.   \nLAST CHANCE OF THE SEASON TO PICK YOUR OWN FARM-GROWN PUMPKIN \nPlease bring your own wagon. We do not provide wagons for carrying pumpkins. \nAccess to the pumpkin patch is free\, but pumpkins are extra.  The pumpkins you choose will be weighed and charged by the pound ($0.80 per pound). \nEveryone 18 and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times while in the pumpkin patch.  No animals or pets are allowed on The FARM.  You may take photos in the pumpkin patch.  However\, professional photography sessions are not permitted.  If you’re a photographer looking for a photoshoot location\, please contact us at info@thefarm1780.com. \nWe encourage closed-toe shoes and if it has rained in the days leading up to your visit\, the fields will very likely be muddy. We highly recommend shoes that can get dirty. \nPumpkins are an agricultural product and nothing is perfect in farming. Due to the rainy summer that we have had\, our pumpkin patch has experienced some setbacks that required us to harvest the pumpkins from the vine sooner than we had anticipated.  As a result\, we do not expect to have the ability for you to cut the pumpkins from the vine yourself. You will be able to walk through the pumpkin patch and choose your own pumpkins.  Most will have already been harvested by our farmers.  Should there still be pumpkins on the vine\, you will have the option to cut your own (based on availability).   \nNo outside food\, drink\, or coolers \nNO PETS are permitted anywhere on The FARM

SUMMARY:Pick Your Own Pumpkin
DESCRIPTION:PICK YOUR OWN PUMPKIN TICKETS FOR SATURDAY MORNING ARE SOLD OUT \nIf you attend the Harvest Festival or Visit The FARMstand (open Sunday 10/10 from 1pm – 4pm)\, there will be pick-your-own pumpkin tickets that will be available for purchase (based on day-of availability) \nFor the first time ever The FARM is welcoming the community to this 8th generation family farm. As part of our grand opening\, experience our pumpkin patch and pick out your own farm-grown Jack-O-Lantern pumpkins.  We grow our pumpkins on-site and you will be provided access to the pumpkin patch where you can choose your own pumpkin(s). \nPumpkins are an agricultural product and nothing is perfect in farming. Due to the rainy summer that we have had\, our pumpkin patch has experienced some setbacks that require we harvest the pumpkins from the vine sooner than we had anticipated. \nPlease bring your own wagon. We do not provide wagons for carrying pumpkins. \nYour ticket includes access to the pumpkin patch (pumpkins are extra).  The pumpkins you choose will be weighed and charged by the pound ($1 per pound). \nWe highly recommend advanced ticket purchases.  If not sold out\, tickets will be available the day of but we are limiting the number of people in the pumpkin patch at one time to ensure a more enjoyable experience for all. \nAdmission to the pumpkin patch is free for those 13 and under.  Each person over 14 requires an admission ticket.  All children 13 and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times while in the pumpkin patch.  No animals or pets are allowed on The FARM.  You may take photos in the pumpkin patch.  However\, professional photography sessions are not permitted.  If you’re a photographer looking for a photoshoot location\, please contact our Director of Sales & Events at host@thefarm1780.com. \n
