SUMMARY:Rent-a-Chick (Fall 2024)
DESCRIPTION:PROGRAM IS CURRENTLY FULL: Scroll Down to Join Our Wait List \nThe FARM 1780’s next round of laying hens will hatch on September 3rd. And we have an exciting opportunity for a few families to care for these chicks with our fall rent-a-chick program.  Our program includes few-day-old chicks and all of the supplies that you need to care for them for two weeks.  This is a great opportunity for anyone who is thinking about getting chickens or even those who can’t have chickens because of HOA rules (these will remain in a container that you keep in your home or garage).  When you return your chicks & supplies\, you’ll get a certificate for a dozen eggs to use when your chicks start laying. \nPick-up: Saturday\, September 7th\, 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. (backup day is Sunday 9/8 should our chicks need extra time to get acclimated after hatching). \nEach family will receive: \n\n3 chicks (about 5-days old)\nA box for the chicks to live in\nExtra bedding\nFeeders\, Waterers\, and Feed for 2-weeks\nHeat Lamp\nInstructions for care\nA certificate for a dozen eggs when your chicks start lay in the Spring\n\nAt the end of two weeks\, you will return your chicks and equipment to The FARM. \nDrop-off: Saturday\, September 21st\, 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Chicks can only be returned during this window.  If you cannot drop-off during this time\, please do not reserve them. \n$37 per family (at pick-up you will be asked to leave a credit card on file.  If you do not return your chicks or equipment\, we will charge the card on file an additional $37 to cover the cost of equipment). \nFAQs: \nQ: Where will I keep the baby chicks? \nA:  Choose an area inside of your garage or home.  DO NOT place chicks outside on a porch\, deck\, or area where they will be in the elements and susceptible to predators.  Pick an area that allows for proper ventilation while avoiding drafts \nQ: What if we have pets? \nA: Other pets\, like cats and dogs\, need to be kept away from the chicks.  These animals have predatory insticts that may pose a threat to the chicks & there shouldn’t be direct contact between the two.  Obviously\, your pet is a member of your family and so if separation is not possible\, then we suggest reconsidering the rent-a-chick program. \nQ: What is a good age range for Rent-a-Chick? \nA: Any child can enjoy this experience.  And\, we’ve even had adults without children participate in this program! Young children do need to be supervised and you should not allow them to hold the chicks on their own until they have had some practice. Watch for pulling\, poking\, biting\, shaking\, and dropping (this is a natural reaction for a young child who hasn’t interacted before\, but they can quickly learn proper handling) \nQ: What if we decide chickens aren’t for us and we want to return them early? \nA: Our chickens are always welcome home! If you get into this and decide at any point it’s not for you all\, then just give us a call and we’ll schedule a time for you to return them. There are no refunds for early returns. \nQ: What if we really like the experience and decide we want to keep the chickens? \nA: This happens a bunch! We are thrilled when families have such a good experience and decide to continue on their own journey with chickens.  You’ll just give us a call and let us know your intentions.  We’ll then bill your credit card on-file for the additional $37 to cover the cost of the chicks and the equipment.  Send us pics once in awhile!  We love keeping up with their journey. \n[contact-form to=”mckenzie@thefarm1780.com” subject=”Rent A Chick waitlist (Fall 2024)”][contact-field label=”Name” type=”name” required=”1″][contact-field label=”Email” type=”email” required=”1″][contact-field label=”Contact Phone Number” type=”text” required=”1″][/contact-form]

Loved the setting and the small group.”\n\n“Didn’t know what to expect but y’all didn’t disappoint! Atmosphere was great\, food was incredible\, and the wine was yummy too! Thank you so much for putting this on – Lexington needed this!!”\nThis is a 21+ only event!  Men are welcome (but only if you can handle it!). \nBy purchasing a ticket you understand that all sales are final and subject to our Event Terms of Use.  If you do not agree with these terms\, please do not purchase a ticket. SUMMARY:Spring Farm to Table Dinner with Chef Nivit Tipvaree
DESCRIPTION:Kick off the start of our 2024 season out here on The FARM with a true farm-to-table dinner experience. This four-course\, fully-plated meal will feature fresh\, locally grown and raised ingredients from our farm. \nThe chef for this dinner is Chef Nivit Tipvaree\, owner of Bodhi Thai Dining. Chef Nivit\, a native from Nakhon Swan\, Thailand\, wears many culinary hats. His expertise as a Thai\, Sushi\, and French culinary Chef provides a broad base for his beautiful and delicious culinary dishes. This dinner will be more intimate than our typical Spring Dinners. You’ll still sit family style\, but each course will be individually plated. \nThere will be a welcome experience that highlights the Thai culture followed by a 4-course meal. Tickets include a wine paired to complement each course. \n1st course\nPatty pan squash bisque \n2nd course\nOctopus \nGrilled octopus\, mixed greens\, heirloom tomato\, quinoa and fish sauce vinaigrette \nEntree\nRibeye\nGrilled ribeye\, roasted rainbow carrots\, parsnip purée\, charred boiler onion and Panang curry sauce \nDessert\nMango\nMango mousse cake with mango gelato \nSCROLL DOWN TO PURCHASE TICKETS  \n  \nWhat people have to say about Farm-to-Table Dinners at The FARM 1780: \n“It was a beautiful evening from start to finish.” \n“It was all delicious and learning about the food was our favorite part (how it was prepared/stored\, who made it\, the freshness\, why ingredients were chosen\, etc.).

SUMMARY:Rent-a-Chick (Spring 2024)
DESCRIPTION:We are SOLD OUT for the Spring 2024 season.  But you can join the waitlist below. \n[contact-form to=”mckenzie@thefarm1780.com” subject=”Spring 2024 Rent a Chick Waitlist”][contact-field label=”Name” type=”name” required=”1″][contact-field label=”Email” type=”email” required=”1″][contact-field label=”Phone Number” type=”textarea” required=”1″][/contact-form] \n  \nThe FARM 1780’s next round of laying hens will hatch on February 21st. And we have an exciting opportunity for a few families to care for these chicks with our second rent-a-chick program.  Our program includes 1-week-old chicks and all of the supplies that you need to care for them for two weeks. \nPick-up: Saturday\, March 2nd\, 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. \nEach family will receive: \n\n3 chicks (about 1-week old)\nA box for the chicks to live in\nExtra bedding\nFeeders\, Waterers\, and Feed for 2-weeks\nHeat Lamp\nInstructions for care\nA certificate for a dozen eggs when your chicks start lay in the Fall\n\nAt the end of two weeks\, you will return your chicks and equipment to The FARM. \nDrop-off: Saturday\, March 16th\, 1:00 pm – 3:00 p.m. Chicks can only be returned during this window.  If you cannot drop-off during this time\, please do not reserve them. \n$30 per family (at pick-up you will be asked to leave a credit card on file.  If you do not return your chicks for equipment\, we will charge the card on file an additional $30 to cover the cost of equipment). We’ll then bill your credit card on-file for the additional $30 to cover the cost of the chicks and the equipment.  Send us pics once in awhile!  We love keeping up with their journey.
